A Victorian sterling silver commemorative box, London 1897 by John Marshall Spink (Spink and Son)

Of rectangular form with a pull off lid surmounted by a heraldic finial of the crest of a camel, each side with a coat of arms between griffin supporters and the motto God Grant Grace for the Worshipful Company of Grocers, otherwise with chased arabesques. Fully marked to base and to lid interior.

Length – 10.2 cm / 4 inches

Weight – 169 grams / 5.5 ozt
