A Victorian sterling silver bachelor teapot, Sheffield 1898 by James Dixon and Sons

Of elongated rectangular form, raised on four ball feet. The body with half-fluted decoration and a gadrooned rim. The spout opposite a C scroll handle capped with twin stylised shells, pinned to sockets with ivory insulators. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a wooden knop. The body with traces of an engraved crest of in front of a tree a stag statant. Fully and part-marked.
