Tempera on canvas, the Rinpoche seated on an elaborate dragon throne, wearing a full attire of an ordained lama including a yellow Pandita hat, his right hand held before his torso in vitarka mudra, the gesture of teaching, the image surrounded by smaller representations of other lamas, buddhas and guardian deities, mounted on silk as a hanging scroll, 67 x 44.5cm.
Provenance: Property from a Private English Collection, predominantly assembled in the 1970s and 1980s.
