A George III sterling silver teapot, London 1806 by Peter and William Bateman
Of rounded oval form with a curved spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to sockets, the hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable wrythen ovoid finial with leafy calyx. Engraved to the side with crest of a stag trippant above the motto valens et volens. Fully marked underneath, and part-marked to the lid.
