A Victorian sterling silver butter dish, Birmingham 1846 by Robinson, Edkins and Aston
Of everted octagonal form with a shaped pointed rim, the sides with die-struck openwork scrolls, the pull-off domed lid surmounted by a detachable parcel gilt finial of a flower with leafy base, similarly of die-struck scrolls. Fitted with a removable cranberry glass liner. Fully marked underneath and to the top of lid, part-marked to the finial.
