A William IV sterling silver trophy goblet, London 1834 by John James Whiting (reg. Oct 1833)
Of campana form upon a domed pedestal foot chased with a scythe, sheers, pitch fork and bundle of wheat. The body engraved with a horse in a field and on the obverse a presentation inscription reading “Presented by the Saffron Walden Agricultural Society, Oct 1834 the best entire nag horse”. Gilt interior. Fully marked to front.
