AN INDO-PORTUGUESE AMBER GLASS AND SILVER FILIGREE BOX
Possibly Goa, Western coast of India, 19th century
Of rectangular shape with flattened edges, the lid and base made of thin sheets of amber-coloured glass held together by a silver filigree mount running throughout their perimeter, the filigree mount decorated with vegetal scrollwork encased within beading bands, 2cm x 9.8cm x 6.8cm.
