TWO ARCHAISTIC SAFAVID REVIVAL-STYLE TINTED DRAWINGS OF YOUTHS

Opaque pigments, pencil, ink and gold on paper, each vertical composition portraying a standing youth in the typical Reza 'Abbasi and Isfahani School style, one youth holding a dog on a leash, the latter possibly a cupbearer (saqi) holding a golden cup in one hand and a golden spirit ewer on the other, each drawing mounted onto later concentric polychrome and marbled borders, the largest 35cm x 24cm, the smallest 31.5cm x 22.5cm.
