An early 19th century American silver milk jug, Albany, New York circa 1815 by Timothy Brigden (1774-1819)

Federal period, of helmet form upon a pedestal circular to square base with beaded edge. The moulded C scroll handle leading to a beaded rim. Engraved to the front with initials C JF in flourished cursive script within a circular cartouche. Marked to the front T.B in a shaped rectangular cartouche.

Height – 16.2 cm / 6.45 inches

Weight – 192 grams / 6.17 ozt

A silversmith and pewtersmith, born in Middletown Connecticut. He worked from circa 1795 to 1819 in Albany New York.
