A HUNTING SCENE  Kota, Rajasthan, North Western India, late 19th century Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the horizontal composition depicting a heavily armoured king riding a horse with lavish encrusted harnesses, the rider attacking and stabbing a bleeding bull and accompanied by multiple attendants holding several accessories such as a flywhisk, a broad sword, and a ceremonial processional banner, the scene set en plein air in a field, framed by a thin red border, 29.5cm x 39.5cm.
