A William IV sterling silver bachelor coffee pot, London 1832 by John Edward Terry

In the George II style, of tapering cylindrical form with reeded base, the curved spout with scalloped junction opposite a worked ivory C scroll handle pined to scroll sockets, leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a fixed compressed circular knop finials. Engraved to the side with a crest of out of a ducal coronet, a saracen's head, encircled in a motto Fide, sed cui vide. Fully marked underneath and part-marked to lid.

Weight – 436 grams / 14.02 ozt
