SOUVENIR ALBUM OF BERLIN OLYMPICS, 1936, subjects include the torchbearer ceremony with locations comprising Delphi and Athens, Sofia, Belgrad, Budapest, Vienna, and Berlin, the opening ceremony, portraits of the athletes such as James Cleveland "Jesse" Owens (1913-1980), Helen Herring Stephens (1918-1994), Naoto Tajima (1912-1990), Cornelius Cooper "Corny" Johnson (1913-1946), Nazi Germany political figures such as Adolph Hitler (1889-1945). Silver gelatin prints and other (c.180), image size, approx. 140 x 90mm, 90 x 70mm, mounted back-to-back on album leaves, mount size, 240 x 200mm, images titled in mount, album compiled by hand in German, some images with Presse Bild Centrale (Berlin) copyright typed in the negative lower margin, completed with a selection of stamps.
