FBI Interest

Early local wanted poster for Charles 'Pretty Boy' Floyd, contemporary pencil annotations, one reading "killed by officers", occasional pin and staple holes. small loss to lower right corner, some creasing, closed tears to margins, 8 x 8" (20.3 x 20.3cm), mounted; with typed letter signed by famed FBI agent Melvin Purvis to Mr Buddy Miller, reading in part "I wish to thank you sincerely for asking for my autograph and I trust that the one appearing below will be suitable", one page, light yellowing, 8vo, Chicago, 3 September 1935, with original mailing envelope; also including three printed facsimiles of wanted posters for John Dillinger, Clide Barrow and Alvin Karpis (5)
