A George VI sterling silver replica set or nest of stacking beakers, London 1937 by Z. Barraclough and Sons
After the Charles II model. Composed of four beaker, one taller, a lid of rising circular form with a multi-piece knop above a gadrooned section. Each of tapering cylindrical form upon a spreading circular foot, with an applied girdle to upper section. Each fully marked underneath.

This being the only known full set of English stacking beaker, which as a form is derived from the German sets of beakers or satzbecher with as many as twelve parts, originating from the 16th century.
