Iznik, Ottoman Turkey, 17th century
Of square shape, painted in cobalt blue and copper green, outlined in black on white ground, featuring a lobed rosette medallion to the centre within a clover cartouche, the negative spaces filled with quarters of arabesque medallions, the edges with a border of repeating green palmettes, 24cm x 24.2cm.
Provenance: Previously part of a Private Collection based in London and formed between the 1970s and 1980s.
