Autograph letter signed (‘Albert’) on mourning stationary, to Monsieur Lassimonne, his one time French tutor, in French, translation reading “I thank you very much for the letter you sent me. I am so upset to understand that your dear daughter is ill. I hope she will be well soon. It would be very kind of you to send me a copy of the Osborne Magazine. Mr Watt has been to Windsor with me to teach me science. I hope I will see you in August”, two pages, 8vo, Buckingham Palace, 27 April 1911; with original mailing envelope addressed in Prince Albert’s hand and initialled ‘A’.
