the Roman Emperor depicted in profile in the medallion, inscribed 'Julius Caesar' around the edge in gilt lettering, losses,

This lovely but worn 17th century enamel can be attributed to Jacques Laudin II based on its similarity to a known series of twelve enamels of Roman Emperors that Laudin produced and were signed 'J.L.' A set was sold by Artcurial, 25 November 2015, lot 173, 7150 euros.
