Comprising a large cast bronze mortar, of cylindrical shape, on a flat plain base, with an everted rim, the sides decorated with two rows of floriated Kufic-revival calligraphy, 15cm diam. and 15.7cm high; and two Qajar opaline seals, each of conical shape, with tapering back and a rectangular seal cartouche in the front, the nasta'liq calligraphy engraved in mirror reverse, one dated 1218AH (1803), the latter 1263AH (1846), the bezel approx. 2.4cm x 2.8cm.
