A LARGE THAI UNGLAZED POTTERY VASE WITH ELEPHANTS
Thailand, South East Asia, late 19th - 20th century

Of bulbous shape, resting on a circular flat base, rising to broad shoulders and a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, the unglazed earthenware body incised with a band of elephants running around the shoulders, and other two bands of heart-shaped and flaming motifs around the neck and just below it, 30cm diam. 38cm high.
