A quantity of Middle and Far Eastern costumes and textiles, Europe, Middle and Far East, 20th century, a selection of travel souvenirs from the late 20th century, including a hanging of fine crimson silk velvet, trimmed with metallic thread band and braided passementerie, 200cm x 112cm; a Chinese guipure table cloth with 12 matching napkins; other table linen; lace; a midi dress of black satin silk with ruched elbows and flaring skirt, 1930s; a tea gown of ivory satin silk, worked with pearls and lace, 1920s; a dress of white cotton lawn with cotton lace details and pin-tucked hem, early 20th century; a number of children’s costumes in broderie anglaise and whitework; a Chinese skirt of red silk, front and back panels worked in polychrome silks with peonies and butterflies; a Vietnamese aodi of pale blue silk; a Chinese qipao dress of figured blue and white silk; a group of sarong and stoles from Laos; a quantity of Bulgarian textiles, mostly table linen; a small quantity of Spanish lace; a fine petit point purse; a pair of Japanese child’s geta clogs and tabi socks, with accompanied letter dated April 27, 1922; a printed epitaphios; and Iranian silk scarves; in three suitcases, matching two of brown calf in zipped canvas protector covers, 55cm x 36cm x 17.5cm and 68cm x 42cm x 21cm.
