Watson & Sons Brass and Mahogany Half Plate Field Camera. Fitted with a Thornton-Pickard roller blind shutter and with a Dallmeyer Serrac f4.5 8.5 inch lens no. 427500 and a Dallmeyer wide angle Anastigmat f6.5 5.5 inch lens no. 289593. With six mahogany double dark slides, each with a single half plate cut film insert. The camera front standard is labelled in gold leaf, “Watson & Sons Ltd., Manufacturer, 313 High Holborn, London”. Ex-WD (but still in lovely condition) and comes in a fitted brown leather case, inscribed A.P. 0553/8340. The original leather bellows replaced in 2012 by Camera Bellows, Birmingham, with a fabric-based material.
