An early 17th century German silver beaker, Freiberg circa 1630 by David Winckler (master 1617, died 1635)

Of tapering cylindrical form, embossed and chased with a band of strapworks embellished with fruits and swags, possibly later. Marked underneath with maker’s mark, town mark and assay scrape.

Height – 11.5 cm / 4.5 inches

Weight – 108 grams / 4.25 ozt
