A pair of Louis XVI late 18th century French provincial silver and Nymphenburg porcelain handled dessert knives, Nancy 1778-82, cutlers mark of a crowned heart (untraced)
The plain blades marked with the Warden’s mark for first (959) standard for Antoine-Francois Platel (active 1778-82). The German hard paste porcelain handles with polychrome decoration of flower sprigs reserved with gilt, the base with a bird atop a branch within garden trellises. (2)
