A highly attractive and masculine, almost unique Daytona with an incredibly beautiful and well-preserved black sigma dial signed by Tiffany & Co that represents the glorious age of Rolex during 1960's and 1970s'.

Our model futures screw down pushers and the designation Oyster to offer water resistance. The reference 6265 and 6263 were launched in the 1960's to replace the first Oyster Cosmograph 6240 and to be more specific the reference 6265 was introduced in 1969, just a year after the reference 6239 Paul Newman Daytona, and was in production until the 1980's available in stainless steel and gold with a Valjoux 727 instead of the old 722.

*For a similar reference 6265 and 6263 Daytona without the sigma and Tiffany & Co markings, please see Lot 47, Phillips Auction Geneva, 6-7th November, 2020.

Estimated at £100,000 - £160,000
