A rare early 20^th century Danish sterling silver comport or compote, Copenhagen 1927 designed by Johan Rohde for Georg Jensen, import marks for London 1927 by George Stockwell

Of dished circular form upon a moulded stem leading to a spreading circular foot. The baluster stem with spiralling beaded decoration with a beaded knop junction to bowl with applied laurel branches. Fully marked underneath with assay marks for Christian F. Heise, (active 1904-1932), model number 178, import marks to underside of the bowl.
