Of hexagonal form, the translucent blue guilloché enamel over sunburst engine-turning, centrally set with an old-brilliant cut diamond, within a rose-cut diamond border, maker's mark for Michel Perchin, numbered, Russian assay mark, detachable brooch fitting, later pin, length 2.2cm

Footnote:

Michael Evanpievich Perchin (1860-1903) is considered to be amongst the most remarkable workmasters of Fabergé. He started his life as a peasant but applyed himself assiduously to the art and craft of goldsmithery. Perchin's workshop is responsible for over 100 pieces currently in the British Royal Collection and around half of the Russian Imperial Easter eggs.
