A MINIATURE OPENWORK LOW-GRADE SILVER MARITIME LANTERN
South East Asia, 19th century
Of globular shape, with a hanging chainlet at the top, split in half, the interior concealing a typical maritime oil lamp container kept in balance by a structure of interlinked circles, the exterior decorated with openwork and engravings featuring butterfly medallions and lush flower bushes, 5cm diam, weighs 74g.
