Qing Dynasty.

Carved with a snail, a frog and a small dragon lurking in the holes of an old bamboo trunk with a spray of leaves to the side, the wood with a warm patina, 10cm H.

Provenance: English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent.
