An early 20th century Austrian 800 standard silver sugar box (zuckerdose), Vienna circa 1920 by Samuel Haber (active 1912-24)
Of oval bombe form upon four rocaille scroll feet, the hinged domed lid raised by a simple thumbpiece and surmounted by a cast detachable figure of a stag. Engraved foliage decoration to the body and thistles to the lid. Some gilding to the interior. Marked with standard mark (pre-1922) and makers mark S.H to the base, lid, and finial.
