TWO SMALL IRANIAN SILVER SAUCERS AND AN OTTOMAN SILVER ZARF HOLDER
Iran, ca. 1930 - 1950 and Ottoman Turkey, pre-1844
Comprising two footed silver saucers, with everted lobed rim engraved with portraits of the mythical kings of Iran, each portrait is accompanied by an identifying inscription with the name of the ruler, both unmarked, 12cm diam and 5cm high; and a small openwork silver zarf holder with repoussé strawberry and foliage design, stamped with Mahmud II's (1808-39) tughra mark on the foot, 4.5cm diam and 5cm high.
