Original typed script for the 13th episode of the 7th series of the BBC Radio comedy 'The Navy Lark', broadcast on October 3rd, 1965, the script being the personal copy of Jon Pertwee, signed 'Jon' on the first page and featuring his marks, annotations and occasional doodles, some handling wear and yellowing, occasional small tears to margins, 33 x 21cm; together with: a typed sample television script adapted from BBC Radio series Puffney Post Office, featuring Jon Pertwee as The Postmaster, n.d. [after 1950]; script for the play 'My Dear Gilbert', featuring Pertwee as W. S. Gilbert, heavily annotated in blue ballpoint ink and pencil, 1969; typed lyrics of 'Worzel's Song', 'Scarecrows on Parade', 'The Wozel Walk' and others, all with annotations in Pertwee's hand, v.s. (7)

PROVENANCE: From the estate of English actor John Pertwee (1919-1996)

***Accompanied by a black and white press photograph featuring the cast of 'The Navy Lark' and a black and white photograph of Pertwee with William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, who starred as the first and second incarnation of The Doctor in the science fiction series Doctor Who. Pertweek took over the role as the third incarnation of the Doctor in 1969.
