An early 19th century Ottoman Turkish silver dish, circa 1835 Tughra of Mahmud II (r.1808-39)
Of circular dished form with serrated edge, die-rolled decoration of palmettes to the exterior edge. Engraved with initials to the side TPM script. Marked to the centre with Tughra with figure 90 (used 1834-39). Together with another dish, circular form with a die rolled beaded rim with foliate band, marked to the centre with Tughra of Abdulmejid I (used 1839-44), assay scrape underneath. (2)
