6 Bottles of Krug 1988

This six bottle case has been cellared in a substantial country house since first shipped to the UK in 2000, after twelve years of ageing on the lees in the Krug cellars in Reims. This is one of the great long lived Krug Vintages and the last of the “Collection” releases In 2017 of the wonderful trilogy of 1988 1989 and 1990.
The 1988 has a superb combination of richness and ripeness and great acidity which gives it it’s longevity.
Made with Pinot Noir dominant at 50%, the 88 is a rich gold colour, has minuscule fine bubbles and an extraordinary intensity and palate length.
