Jane Vivian (de Fleury ) ( active 1869-1890 ) landscape painter from a family of landscape painters which included her father and brother. Vivian exhibited a number of paintings at the Society of British Artists including views of Venice, Bruges and Rouen. Best known for her views of Venice. She also exhibited in a number of provincial galleries including the Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham, Manchester City Gallery, The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and the Royal Hibernian Academy. Her first showing was in 1869 from her London address, but she later moved to Birmingham and showed her work there until 1888.
Her work shows a great attention to detail with a lightness of touch and the use of a softer palette.
