A pair of Louis XVI late 18th century French silver salts, Paris 1788, one by Henri-Louis Dutry (reg. 16th April 1785)
Each of oval form with beaded rims upon four claw feet. Pierced bodies of slats each with vacant circular cartouches. Each with removable blue glass liners. Each fully marked to the interior behind cartouche, town/date mark (reg. 12th Nov 1788), charge mark for Jean – Francois Kalandrin (reg. 23rd Feb 1789), the other maker probably Pierre Bocher (reg. 15th July 1775).
