A RARE EARLY 20TH CENTURY FRENCH BRONZED SPELTER NOVELTY SWINGING GLOBE CLOCK DEPICTING A COURTING COUPLE, the gilt and patinated spelter mystery clock depicting a pair of lovers seated on a swing which appears to swing back and forth of its own accord when the clock ticks, the clock movement contained within a dark blue sphere applied with gilt brass Roman numerals, mounted on a short rod above the young couple and oscillating like a pendulum from side to side when the clock ticks, within an arch formed from entwined tree branches rising from the naturalistic base, signed 'Geo Maxime' to the side, over a marble plinth, applied with a plaque inscribed 'Idylle Printaniere Par Geo Maxime',
