A late 19th / early 20th century Chinese export silver bowl, Canton circa 1900 by Yu Yao He, retailed by Wang Hing
Qing dynasty. Of hemispherical form with a moulded rim upon a collet foot. The body with embossed decoration in chrysanthemum pattern against a matted ground, the front with a vacant circular cartouche. Gilt interior. Marked to the foot with foot rim with artisan mark 余耀和 (YU YAO HE), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH, also with Russian (Latvian) control mark for Vilnius 1898-1908, assayer Kliment Anikievich Zagaewsky.
