A Victorian sterling silver and enamel combination cigarette, vesta and stamp case, London 1888 by George Heath for Walter Thornhill
Of hinged rectangular form with rounded corners, the gilt interior with three sprung hinged flaps, those to one side enamelled in blue for STAMPS or MATCHES. The matches section with a striker to the bottom. Engraved to the front with initials WJT in flourished cursive script. Fully marked to interior and part-marked, engraved to the base edge W. Thornhill & Co Bond St W.
