A late 19th / early 20th century Ottoman Turkish silver box, Tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1876-1909)
Of compressed circular form with a hinged lid, held with a lock plate, the top with pierced and embossed section of foliate acorns. The sides with embossed and chased decoration of foliate acorns, the lid with a border of stylised laurel leave. Marked to the base with tughra and sah mark (post-1844).
