A cased early 20th Century French 18 carat gold, lacquer and gem set cigarette holder, Paris circa 1910 by GH? Possibly for George Heriot, retailed by Cartier

Of tapering cylindrical form, the main body of brick red lacaquer, either side the gold mounts set with courses of baquette cut sapphires, the mouthpiece of amber. Marked with standard mark, maker’s mark and engraved ‘Cartier, Paris, London, New York’. Housed within an original fitted case of tooled red Moroccan leather, the silk lining gilt stamped Cartier, also stamped Carter and Made in France.
