A late 18th century Swiss silver punch ladle, possibly Appenzell, mark of ST

The socket with die-rolled decoration, with a turned fruit wood handle. Together with a George III sterling silver cream jug, London 1795 by George Gray overstriking Peter & Ann Bateman, urn form on a square base, with bright cut engraved decoration, engraved initials JMB in flourished cursive script to front. (2)

Ladle length – 44.1 cm / 17.5 inches

Cream jug weight – 81 grams / 2.6 ozt
