An early to mid-20th century Ceylonese (Sri Lankan) unmarked silver dish, Kandy circa 1930
Of quatrefoil form with broad rim and cavetto edge. The centre with a chased hansa puttuwa of three interlocking geese heightened with ring punch decoration, within a beaded circular cartouche. Each corner with an animal, a civet, a dear, a bird, a dog reserved with foliate scrolls. The broad rim with chased foliate scrolls and rosettes with beast masks.
