Typed letter signed ('Margaret H. Thatcher') to Miss Silverman, replying to a letter (enclosed in the lot) expressing Silverman's distress "about the Government's policy regarding arms in Israel, which in effect, meant, inter alia, not supplying Israel with teh spare parts needed to maintain the tanks already supplied and which spare parts had, in fact, already been paid for". Thatcher replies "I can of course understand your feelings, and will bear what you said in mind", one page, folding marks, 4to, House of Commons, 1 November 1973; also including a blue ballpoint ink signature of John Major obtained at the Young Conservatives Meeting in Eastbourne in 1992 (3)
