十八至十九世紀 白玉雕穿花龍紋牌

The deeply carved jade plaque, pierced to demonstrate different depths in the scroll pattern, at the centre depicting a dragon flanked by birds and lotus flowers by either side

5.5 cm high, 16.5cm wide

PROVENANCE:

Collection of Duncan Archibald Malcolm, formed during the 1900’s-1930’s, partner at the firm of Nielsen & Malcolm, Consulting Engineers, Surveyors and Assessors, Hankow (now part of modern-day Wuhan);

Thence by descent to the present owner;

Scottish Private Collection.
