A ROMAN TERRACOTTA HEAD OF A GRIMACING WOMAN Circa 1st - 2nd Century A.D. Depicted with a long neck and a large head, her mouth extended in a broad rictus, revealing her teeth, with large creased eyes, prominent ears and naturalistically moulded wrinkles, 4.5cm high.  Provenance: Acquired, early 1930s- late 1960s by Ernst Langlotz (1895-1978), Bonn; thence by descent to Michael Langlotz, Switzerland, 1978-2013.
