A set of Views in the Island of Ceylon, six hand-coloured aquatints, [Abbey Travel 411, nos.1-6], some staining and marking, some chipping in margins, sheets c.445 x 650mm, published by Edward Orme, 1819 (6)

*** Titles include: Amanapoora, on the Road from Columbo to Kandy; The Summit of the Balani Mountain; The King's Palace at Kandy; Ferry at Wattepalogoa, three miles from Kandy; Tombs of Kandyan Kings at the North end of the Town of Kandy; Town of Kandy, from Castle Hill.

Little is known about Lt. William T. Lyttleton who arrived with a detachment of the 73rd regiment and served with the expedition against the kingdom of Kandy in 1815. These aquatints after his work were advertised for sale in the Ceylon Gazette of 2 October 1819, at 100 Rix dollars (£7 10s) for the set.
