Of typical globular shape, resting on a flattened plain base, with narrow shoulders and reinforced circular mouth, the body with four repoussé figural erotic scenes, each group illustrating a different position either reclined or seated, the two lovers copulating over a low Indian bed and resting on typical oval cushions, flanked by naked female attendants, the positions inspired by the Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian Sanskrit text on sexuality, eroticism and emotional fulfilment in life, 14cm high, India, 19th century
