Craig (Edward Gordon) A collection of letters, papers and photographs related to Edward Gordon Craig and formerly belonging to Craig’s manager and associate Ian Jeffcott. Highlights including: an autograph note signed ('EGC'); three typed letters signed ('EGC'), sent from France to Jeffcott between May and June 1931 and mentioning reviews, one with additional handwritten part reading "I have nearly finished my book on E.J. This haute-ville here is quite another world to the low-ville. It's really a rather delightful place and this hotel a good one for you & P", 16 June 1931; typed drafts of articles ('Impressions', 'Marionettes and Fascisti',) with handwritten annotations in Craig's hand; typed copy of 'the Reign of Punchinello', published on The Mask in 1914;  correspondence between Craig, Jeffcott, German and American producers regarding a production of Hamlet at Weimar; typed drafts of  reviews ('Charles Reade' by Malcolm Elwin and 'New Light on Tolstoy' edited by Rene Fulop-Miller) with Craig's handwritten amendments; typed review of an exhibition at the Musée Carnavalet; typescript of an unpublished review of The Life of William Archer; various press-cuttings related to Edward Gordon Craig; an original pencil design on cardboard, possibly by Craig; black and white photographs of set designs by Craig; photographs of Craig in Italy;  'What About It: an article by an American lady journalist, X d’Z, about EGC, topped by a note from him.
