Opaque pigments, and pencil on paper, comprising four costume studies of Ottoman figures, each one dressed in a specific manner depending on their rank, social class, and profession, including an Imam dressed in a long white coat calling for prayer, two mercenaries with long tofang rifles, and a man dressed in a blue coat, a curd street vendor, sat in an alcove, holding a pipe, with inscriptions in pencil below, each measuring 35 x 24.5cm including the frame.
