Manuscript draft of ‘Ravenna: A Study’, for the work published in 1913 by J. M. Dent, 298 leaves, with ms title and chapter titles, one-sided, text in ink, with autograph cancellations and annotations, occasional related ephemera bound in, some offsetting, with a loosely-inserted letter from Hutton to a Dr del Giudice, dated 1967: ‘I have now got ready the MS of my “Ravenna” for you, if you still want to have it! Shall I post it to you…’, later half morocco, ‘E.H’ in gilt to upper board, 4to, 1913.

***Edward Hutton (1875 - 1969) wrote travel books on Italy. During World War II he aided in the protection of Italian historical sites.
